Song of the Grail
Two
8-day segments for
men and women: These can be joined together or done separately.
Using the alchemy of sound with the power of the sites and the beauty
of nature, we will transform ourselves and offer an expanded resonance
to the earth.
Segment
One May 21-28: We begin in Toulouse for an overnight
to rest and a visit to the historic basilica of St. Sernin and the
Black Madonna of La Daurade. On May 22 we drive to Saintes Maries
de la Mer on the Mediterranean for the gypsy festival of St. Sarah
and Mary Magdalene’s arrival in Southern France. We will visit
Magdalene’s mysterious grotto of the Holy Balm at Ste. Baume,
St. Maximum’s Basilica and bathe in the healing waters of
the Mediterranean Sea.
Segment
Two May 28-June 4: We begin at Rennes le Chateau
where we make our home for five days. Henry Lincoln, well-known
co-author of Holy Blood, Holy Grail will guide us in Rennes le Chateau
and into the mysteries of the coded Magdalene Chapel. We will have
a special presentation with local Knight Templars and visit Cathar
castles, spectacular valleys, gorges and mountains of the Pyrenees,
We will have two nights in Alet le Bain with its Aude River beauty
and Nostradamus, Templar and Kaballah mysteries.

Pilgrimage
is defined by Webster's dictionary as: 'a
journey to a sacred place or shrine...a quest for the sacred'.
For individuals in today's fragmented and fast-paced world, pilgrimage
could be defined as a necessity for spiritual survival. There is a
growing yearning to reconnect to the deeper soul of life and to meet
one's more authentic and sacred self. Historically, the Grail
Quest is a path traveled by countless
pilgrims, seeking to find a way out of the Waste Land of 'life as
usual'. In Grail legends, the Waste Land according to Joseph Campbell,
is the place where the vitality, spontaneity and meaning of life has
gone.
In La Queste del Saint Graal,
there is the story of the brief visionary appearance of the Grail
to King Arthur's Roundtable, yet it is covered with a cloth. Arthur's
nephew Gawain proposes a vow that all the Knights go in pursuit of
the Grail to behold it unveiled. That is our quest in the Pilgrimage
of Magdalene and the Holy Grail, to unveil that which is pure, sacred
and magically alive in each one of us.
Songaia Sound Pilgrimages are life changing and magical
and hold a vision for the greater good for every participant as well
as serving our planet at this critical shift of the ages. We use clear
heart-centered intention and sacred sound as the ancient alchemical
formula for creating greater harmony for all beings.
Since 1992 we have been using sound as a way of communing with significant
cosmic cycles and planetary alignments. As all ancient cultures knew,
if we are in rhythm with the movements of the earth and heavens, we
can increase life energy for all, and insure harmony in all realms.
It is the rapid decline in the last century of our living close to
these natural rhythms, that has caused such a degree of global chaos,
confusion with our young, and increased violence.
On our July 1999 pilgrimage to sacred travel sites in England, we
arranged to be within the inner circle of the great stones of Stonehenge
on the morning of the full moon eclipse (July 28th) and planetary
cross alignment. With our circle holding a vision of peace on earth
and love to all beings, we chanted in the tones corresponding to the
positions of the planets as they formed a cross in the heavens. The
harmonics created by our voices and the wind through the harp carried
out to the four directions, rising up and flowing deep into the earth,
sounding our prayers and magnified many fold by the power of place.
Observers saw a great column of light formed in Stonehenge and the
dancing of the elemental guardians in celebration.
The specific tones for the July 28 and August 11 planetary crosses
are drawn from the ancient system of correlating the constellations
with specific frequencies, and forms the basis for the Songaia system
of sound therapy. In this case, E-Leo, A#- Aquarius, C#-Taurus and
G- Scorpio. For the August 11 grand cross eclipse, the sun and moon
are conjunct in Leo, Neptune and Uranus will be opposing in Aquarius,
Jupiter and Saturn squared in Taurus and Chiron and mars squared in
Scorpio. This pattern forms a great cosmic wheel that is turning to
move us into a new millennium and a new dimension of consciousness.

Planetary Cross Toning / Color Wheel
|
One may simply tone the specific tones using the vowel sounds, overtone chants or use a mantra of your choice for each tone. This not only supports greater harmony and balance within the individual, but assists in the vision of rebirth for our planet.
The mantras we have been using for each of the four directions of the cross are as follows:
C# (Taurus) GATE GATE PARA GATE PARA SAM GATE BODHI SVAHA
The Heart of Perfect Wisdom Buddhist heart sutra, meaning gone, gone, gone beyond the beyond, hail to the awakened one!
G (Scorpio) OM AH HUM VAJRA GURU PADME SIDDHI HUM
Tibetan mantra given to us by Bardor Rinpoche of the Karma Kaghu lineage the night before our April 99 journey to Avalon as an important mantra for protection and blessings at this time.
E (Leo) OM NAMA SHIVAYA
Sanskrit mantra honoring the glory of creation given by Swami Muktananda in 1971
A# (Aquarius) OM BENZRA SATO HUM
From the Tibetan Vajra Satva mantra of purification (the short version of the 100 syllable form)
When toning the mantras, feel an open heart and a clear intention for the good of all sentient beings. We indeed each make a difference.
After our Stonehenge chants and prayers, we joined a group that was gathered at Avebury in the south circle for a meditation
and again, the chants and harp harmonics rose up to such a grand chorus, that all were deeply moved. That evening, in full view of where our circle had been gathered, the following crop circle photographed by Peter Sorensen, appeared in the Avebury stone avenue. The interactive nature of the formations is extraordinary.

taken by Steve Alexander and were experienced by our July 99 journey
participants. Notice the cross formed by the Windmill Hill (Avebury)
formation, and looking rather like a computer chip....reprogramming
the patterns. The nine-pointed star formation of this crop circle,
was definitely seeming to harmonize and restructure us on a very
deep level as we meditated in the center of the swirled wheat.
