People Are Waking up There Is Hope
"Each individual must take responsibility for the human family. If we cannot eliminate, we can minimize the misfortunes and sufferings of others. Our individual salvation is just that, individual, but society's salvation is everyone's. A genuine altruistic attitude is the seed of a happy future".
14th Dalai Lama - from a news conference in 1989
The Earth Mother is waking up. She is shaking, spilling over, moving parts of herself, even requiring a redrawing of the map of her body. (The recent earthquake in the Indian Ocean has moved nearby islands as much as 60 kilometers and raised the depth of the sea bottom 1000-3000 feet!). Our earth is making it very difficult for humans to continue being disconnected and apathetic to one another and to the natural living world surrounding us all.
No one can escape feeling the suffering that recent extreme weather and earth changes are bringing. I am recalling many indigenous prophecies over the last several decades, including the Hopi and Maya, speaking of many changes in store for the Earth as a necessary process of moving into the next era, time of the fifth sun, or as others have seen, a golden age, ending one cycle and beginning anew.
Unfortunately, change often requires a shake up, a wake up call. During a two week period from Christmas 2004 (full moon) to January 10, 2005 (new moon), there were hurricanes and tornadoes in Brazil, Arizona and other places where they have been unknown and 100 mph winds buffed Northern Scotland.
X-class solar flares and large scale solar winds sped to earth, affecting earth's electro-magnetic field. Snow fell in Saudi Arabia and thirty inches of rain drenched the mountains near Los Angeles. During this same period three volcanoes erupted simultaneously in Guatemala, perhaps as a result of the tectonic plate movements on the Pacific Rim, and Popocatepetl erupted outside Mexico City. (A dozen volcanoes had eruptions during the first 10 days of January, including Mt. Etna).
By far the largest natural disaster is the December 26th magnitude 9 earthquake and the Tsunami devastation in Southeast Asia resulting in more than 150,000 people dying. Because of this earthquake, the North Pole shifted one inch to the East and our days are now shorter. At the end of this unprecedented two week period, NBC evening news had a special called "Is our planet trying to send us a message?" After reviewing the many earth changes in a short period, the conclusion from the 'experts' interviewed was that these were unrelated events, so apparently there wasn't a message getting through?
The words of the 14th Dalai Lama from a news conference in 1989 applies even more now as we embark on the 21st century:
"This twentieth century may be the most important century in human history. There are many sad things that are happening, but the positive aspect is that when things become so terrible, so dangerous, people wake up.so there is hope. We must have it. Becoming depressed is not useful, no matter how bad the world situation seems. The Tibetan emphasis is abidingly positive.".
People are waking up. Groups of children are working together in communities from Europe to New York and beyond, fund raising for the
children who have been left behind. Unprecedented global action and the need to work together with many nations have become more important than fighting in Sri Lanka and gorilla uprisings are put on hold. (The gorilla' groups were among the first to bring organized relief efforts to the people. Sadly this is not the case in Iraq!)

World-wide Water Meditations

after projecting the feeling of 'Thank you'.

As the Dalai Lama had said, becoming depressed is not useful and finding ways to be helpful is essential. Despair is debilitating and hope and compassion become the fuel for taking action. We can take action in many ways both physically and energetically, and prayer is one effective and powerful way for us to participate. Dr. Masaru Emoto, the well-known Japanese researcher on the interrelationship between human intention and the shape and quality of water has recently suggested sending our love and gratitude into the water of the Indian Ocean. Their projects have shown that our intention directly affects the water molecules, and by feeling appreciation, the composition of water becomes harmonious, clean and beautiful. Feelings of despair, hopelessness, anger and division create inharmonious, chaotic patterns in the water. Emoto's wonderful project to send prayers to the Indian Ocean can positively impact both the water and human emotions in the region. Here is a copy of the email message recently sent around the world from Dr. Emoto regarding the tsunami:
"Prayers can limit the secondary disaster. To everyone in the world,
let us offer a prayer of love to the Indian Ocean rim countries!!"
Masaru Emoto, president of the Project of Love and Thanks to Water
I feel terribly sorry for the loss that has been caused by the biggest catastrophe of tsunami in history. I am utterly lost for words to offer for the deceased and their family. I just pray to god that their souls shall rest in peace.
Just today,The World Health Organization (WHO) has released a warning for the possible emergence of epidemics. It has reported that at the moment, the hygiene has dramatically worsened, and the epidemic such as cholera could spur in any minute. If so, as many people could die from infectious diseases as were killed by the tsunami.
As a Hado (vibration) researcher, I am truly worried about this disaster. As well as the hygiene issue, I feel that the "vibrational fields" of the countries have extremely deteriorated. The "field" is created by feelings of fear, grief, worry, lack of trust, anger, loneliness, and helplessness, and could energize the malevolent microorganisms that prefer this kind of environment. We have to limit the negative "field".
What can we do? The only way is for people from all over the world to pray for the recovery of the affected area. The prayer will definitely carry far with the purity of its Hado. Therefore, from today, let's close our eyes for a few second before our meal and send words of prayer to the countries. Let's send a prayer for them before we go to sleep.
Through the research of the water crystal over the last ten years, I have proven that people's pure energy of consciousness can change the water in areas that people have prayed for, regardless of the distance. Also, the most effective Hado prayer is the feeling of Love and Thanks. Now is the time to send everyone's feeling of Love and Thanks to the earth's water.
Sedna's Waters

"Hail great Sedna of the deep bountiful and fierce sea,
she who is powerful, bringer of food and storms,
mother of sea creatures,
she who is guardian of all who honor her."
Inuit prayer
|
One of many on-going local meditations for the Tsunami victims is being held at Stone Age Sedona and focuses on prayers, chanting and using the water element as the medium to send our good intentions. Sedna, the Inuit peoples's Goddess of the Sea is the name recently given to a beautiful new goddess fountain at Stone Age by Lady Olivia, founder of the Fellowship of Isis in Ireland. This large sculpture was created by Phillipa Bowers, and was shipped from Glastonbury, England, home to Chalice Well and its ancient red healing springs. According to Sedona mystic and hostess of the gatherings, Elizabeth Keller says, "the Inuit legend tells us that when the ocean is stormy and the people cannot fish or eat, they feel someone has upset Sedna by dishonoring women, children, animals and the earth.then they must make offerings to her".

When the world is out of balance, the earth's elementals will speakfire, water, earth, airand they are definitely speaking now. According to local shaman Jade Wah'oo, the Mongolian people believe that the final home of the goddess Sedna is where the castle of red rocks bears her name. Does this mean the ancient seas will return to Sedona? Perhaps, but Sedna has, and finding the emerging patterns helps us to make some sense out of the chaos and suffering. (With such a current focus on the water element, the recent discovery of a tenth planet beyond Pluto named Sedna provides one more piece to the puzzle.)
Remembering To Be Thankful Is A Spiritual Necessity
"The material world is the female side of God, mater. The problem is that we don't recognize it (her), so we are consumed by it rather than nourished. We are under the spell of mater-iality; if we don't recognize this, we will be devoured."
Andrzej Wiercinski, Longing for Darkness by China Galland.
In ancient cultures, Ishtar, Isis and Mary Magdalene, were often referred to as Mistress of the Elements, the nurturing Great Mother who works elemental alchemy to keep life in balance so we may live.
Water is giving Earth a needed purification and baptism and is certainly the prominent element in the current weather patterns, but what about the other elements such as fire, earth, air and the need for balance? The Hopi have been saying our world is out of balance for more than fifty years. It seems to me that part of being called to wake up, includes becoming more deeply connected with all life. The world water meditations with intentions of gratitude and love sparked a desire to include all the elements as a reweaving and reconnecting with primordial life energy and the Mother Earth.
'Baptism' by Nicolas Poussin
"The Gospel of Mark begins with Jesus' baptism by John the Baptist. John is born at the summer solstice in (the sign of) Cancer. Jesus is (believed to have been) born six months later at the winter solstice in Capricorn."
Jesus and the Goddess by Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy
(The Tsunami disaster occurred on the full moon with the moon in Cancer (John the Baptist) and sun in Capricorn (on Christ-mass).
"Like the Pagan Gnostics before them, the original Christians imagined the process of initiation as a series of elemental baptisms' which lead us through the levels of our identity, which they equated with the four ancient elements: earth(physicality), water(psyche), air(consciousness) and fire(mystery)."
Jesus and the Goddess by Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy
At 4 am January 10, 2005, I was not able to sleep... though I was not consciously aware of it, this was the exact moment of the new moon (when the moon and sun come together, in the same sign). I found out later that at that same time, a rare sunspot began to grow on the sun and within days it was several times larger than the earth. This began a series of X-class flares streaming to earth, which interact with earth's magnetic field. This can impact human energy fields, weather patterns and geomantic grids.
For the next several hours, I proceeded to journey through each of the four basic elements giving thanks. I thought of all the aspects of the earth element that provide materials to keep us alive... the flax, wool, cotton from which our clothes are woven, the plants, minerals, fish and animals that feed our bodies and are the source of healing medicines; the wood, stone and other materials that give shelter; and the beauty of the earth, Matter, Mother, Tierra Madre, Ma-kochi, She who not only gives us a home, but inspires us with great beauty and wonder.
Then fire, the heat that brings warmth, the sunlight turning to life-giving chlorophyll in flora, the reflected colors of nature and the fiery magma that creates a new mountain. Each aspect of the element calls for acknowledgment and gratitude, gradually pulling me closer, connected and out of apathy. The air we breathe, filling our lungs and its winds creating symphonies in the trees, and the dancing in nature, a medium for birds, dragonflies and bees to soar and move about. The destructive force of a tornado changing the shape of cities and forests humbles us again and again. And the air gives a sense of spaciousness and freedom to a child that dreams of flying. I give thanks.
And back to the waters, wearing down stone, cleansing and purifying, sometimes sweetly and sometimes with terrible force, always changing, moving, dissolving. By the time I arrived at ether it was six in the morning, and I was too exhausted to think of anything other than profound gratitude for the Holy Spirit that moves through all things.
A dream I had about twenty years ago comes to mind. I had gone to sleep with serious questions about all the earth change predictions emerging from many sources, and I was concerned. That night a monk quietly followed my adventures through many dream sequences and he finally spoke up and said, "You had a question". Right. I explained to the gracious monk my concern about possible earth changes and our vulnerability. Where is one going to be safe? He answered with an explanation about his tradition of giving thanks for everything that happens in life, including wild and unusual weather. We just give thanks for every occurrence, as it teaches us to surrender to a greater plan that may be unknown to us.'
Rapture and a Voice for the Earth
After reading the recent speech by Bill Moyers, one of our last bastions of truth journalism and an honest speaker for the preservation of the environment, we had better start giving thanks and praying double time. During the first week December 2004, the Center for Health and the Global Environment at Harvard Medical School presented its fourth annual Global Environment Citizen Award to Bill Moyers. (Moyers has just retired from active journalism and the PBS NOW show.) The following are extracted points from his acceptance speech:
"...the accelerating deterioration of the environment is creating perils with huge momentum like the greenhouse effect that is causing the melting of the arctic to release so much freshwater into the North Atlantic that even the Pentagon is growing alarmed that a weakening gulf stream could yield abrupt and overwhelming changes, the kind of changes that could radically alter civilizations.
Remember James Watt, President Reagan's first Secretary of the Interior? Watt told the U.S. Congress that protecting natural resources was unimportant in light of the imminent return of Jesus Christ. In public testimony he said, "After the last tree is felled, Christ will come back."
James Watt was serious. So were his compatriots out across the country. They are the people who believe the Bible is literally true - one-third of the American electorate, if a recent Gallup poll is accurate. In this past election (Nov. 2004) several million good and decent citizens went to the polls believing in the Rapture index. That's right - the Rapture index.
These people feel called to help bring the Rapture on as fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. That's why they have declared solidarity with Israel and the Jewish settlements and backed up their support with money and volunteers. It's why the invasion of Iraq for them was a warm-up act, predicted in the Book of Revelation where four angels "which are bound in the great river Euphrates will be released to slay the third part of man." A war with Islam in the Middle East is not something to be feared but welcomed - an essential conflagration on the road to redemption.
Why care about the earth when the droughts, floods, famine and pestilence brought by ecological collapse are signs of the apocalypse foretold in the Bible? Why care about global climate change when you and yours will be rescued in the Rapture? And why care about converting from oil to solar when the same God who performed the miracle of the loaves and fishes can whip up a few billion barrels of light crude with a word?"
Moyers ends and puts it in perspective with, I read all this and look up at the pictures on my desk, next to the computer - pictures of my grandchildren. I see the future looking back at me from those photographs and I say, "Father, forgive us, for we know not what we do." And then I am stopped short by the thought: "That's not right. We do know what we are doing. We are stealing their future. Betraying their trust. Despoiling their world."
Our environmentally responsive actions and prayers are both needed now. We need to work together on all levels of life in order to survive whether or not the Rapture is imminent. Hopefully the tsunami will wake us up and hearts that have opened through the pain of so much suffering will be moved to greater environmental responsibility and deeper commitment to honoring the Earth.
During the recent news coverage of the tsunami, it seemed strange and bizarre that every few minutes the news showed images of Sedona's Oak Creek flooding; then the images would return to Southeast Asia. It was the continued switching back and forth between the tsunami water images and the Sedona (Sedna) waters flooding that made me reflect on a deeper meaning to the disasters. Remembering the essence of the Inuit prayer:
Sedna of the deep bountiful and fierce sea, she who is powerful,
bringer of food and storms she who is guardian of all who honor her.
Honor her. Messages of coming earth changes and a call for more prayer have been coming from the Madonna continually over the years from Medjagori, Yugoslavia, and earlier from Fatima and Lourdes. And from the Black Madonna at Czestochowa, Poland, where she is not really black, but painted blood red, like Madonna Rock in Sedona.

She is not black, she is cosmic red, the color of blood, of life! Cosmic red comes from the painter's intuition that as these figures (Madonnas) descended from above the earth, they would have to burn through the atmosphere, thus the term cosmic red. Cosmic red is actually a deep red-brown... Mary, Star of Heaven, burning through the atmosphere, the descent fiery and glowing into the earth, now rising darkened, deep red-brown.Tara, Morning and Evening Star, growing out of the rock, colored brilliant blood red... 'Our Lady of Czestochowa', Poland
(The original of this image was painted by St. John after the crucifixion and remained in the Holy Land until it was rediscovered by St. Helena in the 4th century, and taken to Constantinople and ultimately to Poland. She has survived many wars, including her miraculous intervention in 1920 when the Russian army prepared to invade Poland. The Russians made a hasty retreat when her image appeared in the clouds over Warsaw. This is known as the Miracle of Vistula)
The Madonna Speaks
"...the light body of the Earth, its landscapes and places have begun to transform... elemental... beings, representatives of the Earth's consciousness have started to experience an initiation into a level of freedom previously unknown... those realms of invisible reality that had long been excluded from human awareness have begun to move closer to us."

Sedona Light at Madonna Rock

This photo is one example of the plasma/light phenomena that are showing up in photographs all over the world. As the earth moves more deeply into her birthing process, the veils between heaven and earth become thin and normal becomes a thing of the past. The Sedona Light photo with spiraling color rays are at a location of great spiritual importance in Sedona. Madonna Rock is located near the Chapel of the Holy Cross and is in the center of a pentagram formed in the Sedona landscape by the surrounding prominent mountains and red rock formations, ones that are considered important vortexes. You can barely see the Madonna and child on the left side of the photograph. (The pentagram is associated with the Divine Feminine and the alchemy of transformation.)

Madonnas are speaking and appearing from diverse cultures and regions of the world. Tara, the Tibetan Female Buddha has been seen growing out of an outcrop of rock at Pharping, Tibet and she continues to grow larger. The Dalai Lama explains this phenomenon of Tara growing out of the rock as a 'rangjung' or self-arising. He says that through the interrelationship between the place, the time and the people who are intimately connected with it, the self-creating image can grow. As long as the people and their relationship with the place are maintained, the image can increase. Without the presence and sacred intention of the people, the image disappears.
Images of the Blessed Mother are appearing in the bark of trees in Poland, a country where hundreds of thousands of devoted pilgrims have been visiting the Black Madonna of Czestochowa every year for more than four hundred years. Images of the Virgin of Guadalupe are appearing in various mediums in areas where she is honored. On her feast day December 12, she appeared in the clouds over Mexico City, the site of her first appearance in the 16th century.

The photo above was taken during the first days of the Iraq war on the Spring Equinox 2002. My friend Rosemarie and I wanted to escape the horror of another war and journeyed to Teotihuacan, Mexico (where the earth is also red, as are many other sacred sites). We could hardly escape, though as Mexico was also on a high alert and military helicopters hovered overhead and armed militia stood at every corner. We sat on top of the Pyramid of the Moon, facing the rising sun and prayed for the world. As we began to chant to Tara and Kwan Yin we simultaneously saw the Goddess floating and spreading flowers over the earth like a giant Chagall painting. The more we chanted, the more she multiplied as fractal images of herself spreading more and more beauty and grace.

'Woman in Village'
by Marc Chagall
In one large window in a bank in Florida,
a state well-populated with devotees of Mary, her image appeared
and the window imprint suddenly became such a popular place of pilgrimage
that the bank finally moved elsewhere. To paraphrase the earlier
quote from professor Andrzej Wiercinski, Polish expert on the Black
Madonnas, "The problem is that we don't recognize the earth;
we are so busy consuming that we are consumed by her rather than
nourished." All of these phenomena are calling us to wake up,
to remember and honor the sacred in all life, to take a moment to
breathe and consider our origins, our source of sustenance as we
pray and give thanks.
